A few times a year, Disney opens their vault of classic movies and re-releases them on DVD, much to the delight of overweight, sedentary children across America. Why only a few times a year, though? Disney has such a massive collection of movies, many of which were fine films in their day. When will Robin Hood be released from the vault? When will Pete's Dragon be freed from its prison? When will Hook see the light of day?
I say that the next time Disney opens the vault and sends Joe Custodian in to slip a movie off the shelf, he should grab as many movies as possible and make a dash for it. Who knows what unreleased treasures he might discover? Pollyanna 2? Old Yeller Returns? The Little Mermaid 2: Even Hotter than Before?
Get in that vault, grab as many movies as you can carry, and get out. That's the plan. Let's do this.
